eDPI Calculator
Calculate your effective DPI and keep the same aim when changing mouse DPI.
Use the sensitivity number shown in the game, for example 0.35.
800 DPI × 0.35 sensitivity
Equivalent sensitivity
These combinations produce the same eDPI in games that use the same sensitivity scale.
eDPI is best used to compare settings within the same game. Different games may use different sensitivity scales.
What Is eDPI in Gaming?
eDPI stands for Effective Dots Per Inch. It measures your mouse sensitivity by combining your mouse DPI with your in-game sensitivity setting.
Our free eDPI Calculator helps CS2 and Valorant players calculate their effective DPI instantly. Enter your mouse DPI and in-game sensitivity to see your result.
How to Calculate eDPI
The formula is simple:
eDPI = Mouse DPI × In-Game Sensitivity
For example, if you play Counter-Strike 2 with 800 DPI and an in-game sensitivity of 1.5, your eDPI is 1200.
You can achieve the same eDPI with different settings. Using 400 DPI with a sensitivity of 3.0 also gives you 1200 eDPI in CS2.
Is eDPI the Same in CS2 and Valorant?
No. CS2 and Valorant use different sensitivity scales. An eDPI of 800 in CS2 does not produce the same physical mouse movement as an eDPI of 800 in Valorant.
To match your sensitivity between games, use a mouse sensitivity converter rather than copying the same eDPI value.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a good eDPI for CS2?
Many competitive CS2 players use settings around 600-1200 eDPI, but there is no perfect value. Your ideal sensitivity depends on your mouse control, available mousepad space, and personal preference.
What is a good eDPI for Valorant?
A commonly used starting range is approximately 200-400 eDPI. Experiment with different settings until you find one that gives you comfortable and consistent aim.
Does changing DPI affect eDPI?
Yes. Increasing your mouse DPI increases your eDPI unless you reduce your in-game sensitivity to compensate.
Can two players have the same eDPI with different DPI settings?
Yes. For example, 400 DPI at 2.0 sensitivity and 800 DPI at 1.0 sensitivity both produce 800 eDPI within the same game.
