Esports. Competitive gaming has its own language, routines and stories. We look at the games, players and teams, alongside topics such as roster changes and university esports programs. If you’re new to the scene, our introduction to esports is a good place to start.
Hardware, software and everyday tech. A gaming setup comes with plenty of decisions and occasional headaches. Our articles cover components, peripherals, apps and settings, with explanations that help make sense of the choices.

Tools for the small things that slow you down
Sometimes you need a quick calculation rather than another article. Our free gaming tools include a Minecraft Nether coordinate converter, an eDPI calculator, a game download time calculator, an FPS and frame-time calculator, and a reaction time test.
Use them to work out portal coordinates, compare mouse sensitivity or estimate a download. Results have limits: a browser reaction test, for example, is affected by your device and display as well as your reflexes.
